How should musical instruments be maintained:
Keep dry:
As a playing instrument, there will always be some water left in the tube after each playing. As we all know, the erosion of wood by water is quite serious, and metal is no exception. Therefore, we should take the trouble to dry the instrument with a soft and absorbent cloth after each performance, especially in humid and rainy areas, it is particularly important to keep the instrument dry.Because doing so can indeed effectively extend the service life of musical instruments.
Keep it clean:
The saxophone has a complex structure, with dozens of sound holes and keys. If it is cleaned irregularly, it is easy to accumulate dust and dirt on the key shaft, key lever, spring and other parts, which will seriously affect the mechanical properties of the instrument and bring difficulties to performance. The tube body part can be cleaned with a cleaning and polishing agent suitable for cleaning metal products.Dust removal can be done with an ordinary softer brush.
Stay flexible:
The change of saxophone tone is mainly achieved by the change of tone keys and tone holes. Therefore, in particular, the tone keys should have a high degree of flexibility. Special key oil should be dripped regularly to enhance its flexibility and prevent rust.In addition, I remind everyone to avoid pressing the keys as much as possible when placing the instrument between each performance.
